EntSoc aims to build inclusive innovation by exposing students in all faculties to UWaterloo’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while connecting them with the resources and opportunities they need to develop their ideas into successful ventures.

As a Marketing Director, you will be working closely with the VP Marketing and have a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  • Running/Managing EntSoc’s social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook) on a day to day basis
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials for internal use and EntSoc's partners (sample social media posts, Eventbrite events, etc.)
  • Write regular blog and newsletter content for general members of the society
  • Acting as an ambassador to EntSoc and participate in bi weekly SLC boothing
  • Interacting with the UWaterloo student community to promote entrepreneurship

The time commitment associated with this position will fluctuate based on what is happening within other areas of the club. As an estimate, it will require a total of 2 hours per week (spread across multiple days).

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Strong interest in entrepreneurship
  • Excellent written communication skills (you’ll be the voice of one or more of EntSoc’s social media accounts)
  • To be available and willing to attend most EntSoc events
  • Attention to detail
  • Keen analytical and reasoning ability

Although not required, having experience in the following areas would be favourable:
  • Maintaining social media accounts of a brand/organization
  • Creating and sending mass mailings with MailChimp and/or other email marketing platforms
